Each Fall, the Cornell University Council holds its annual meeting in Ithaca with the Board of Trustees. Council members learn about current Cornell concerns, activities, and priorities. Members also learn from and interact with Cornell faculty, staff, students, and administrators through lectures, seminars, committee meetings, and social events.
A key session is the Joint Annual Meeting, where trustees and Council members are addressed by the chairman of the board, chair of Council, and the university president with a State of the University Address. As ambassadors for Cornell, members are encouraged to carry this information and inspiration back to their communities around the world.
