The Sculpture Shoppe exhibition runs through in May at the Ithaca Mall. Mallgoers can view classical sculptures from the Cornell Cast Collection, and responses to classical art by contemporary artists and thinkers. This Verity Platt Installation by artist Rhonda Weppler features cast resin fungi and Cornell’s cast of the Apollo Sauroktonos.

Cornell is exploring the possibility of warming campus using Earth Source Heat, a deep geothermal system. The university is digging a two-mile deep borehole to test the viability of this technology. The groundbreaking for the Cornell University Borehole Observatory (CUBO) took place in April.
