Professors Jaclyn Kelley-Widmer Steve Yale-Loehr at Cornell Law School have started a new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) project that helps DACA recipients in the San Francisco Bay area pursue work visas and other pathways to legal permanent residence. The Path2Papers project will train students in immigration law and also provide consults to Cornell DACA students. Cornell Bhangra hosted PAO Bhangra in mid-March, a celebration of traditional Punjabi dance and the largest bhangra showcase in the nation. Since 2019, Cornell Bhangra has donated proceeds from this event to Ithaca Welcomes Refugees, a volunteer organization that welcomes newly arrived immigrants to the area.
