Barry J. Beck ’90 has been named the 2023 Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year. Among other accomplishments, Beck founded the first vegan and sustainable cosmetic brands. He will be honored at the Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration Event on April 13-14.

Viral photo that Chase Doak took of that Chinese spy balloon over Billings, Montana. Jessica Chen Weiss, a professor of government at Cornell, said of the incident, "If we can't even manage a balloon,... then it suggests that we are really collectively, you know, in a very bad place for managing a potentially more serious incident."
