No matter the distance from Ithaca, a Cornellian is a Cornellian for life. We are proud to have alumni in every corner of the globe, and our mission is to help you stay connected to Cornell long after you leave New York—carrying that Big Red spirit with you wherever life takes you.

The reach of the Cornell network is powerful and continually growing, and we encourage you to stay connected. Our international alumni volunteers are among Cornell’s most active and engaged community members, generously contributing both their time and philanthropic support. There are many ways for our international alumni to stay involved—from joining your local Cornell club to supporting the university through volunteerism or giving.

The International Alumni Relations team is here to support your local Cornell club or group through programming, communications, and organizational guidance, while helping Cornellians around the world stay connected to one another and to the university. We invite you to connect with us to learn more.

Events

Student send-offs

Each summer, Cornell alumni clubs and associations around the world host student send-off events to celebrate Cornell’s incoming class. These events are a fantastic chance for students to build connections within their local community. Unlike an orientation, which is more structured and informational, these gatherings are designed to foster social interactions and create a sense of belonging among students. It’s all about making new friends and feeling more at home within the Big Red community!

Events are updated regularly, so be sure to check back frequently. Students will receive a personal invitation to their Cornell University email inbox!

Please note: Some locations have limited capacity and will be accessible by invitation only. We appreciate your understanding!

Asia-Pacific Leadership Conference (APLC)

The Cornell Asia-Pacific Leadership Conference (APLC) is Cornell’s biennial signature event connecting alumni across the Asia-Pacific region. Hosted in partnership with Alumni Affairs & Development (AAD), Global Cornell, and local alumni clubs, the conference highlights Cornell leadership, distinguished faculty, and innovative entrepreneurs while fostering collaboration, idea-sharing, and meaningful connections within the global Cornell community.
