Event Details

The CLAA TCAM Brunch event that was scheduled for October 21, 2023, has been cancelled. We had originally scheduled to gather with students to hear their experiences and share our alumni perspective, however, it became clear to us that we might be competing with other student events happening on campus at that time. We are thrilled to invite you instead to the event below celebrating the work of Professor Helena María Viramontes, which will take place on Saturday, October 21 beginning at 9:30am ET. The event will be held at the A.D. White House, Guerlac Room.

You can review specific event details on the event’s webpage. No registration is required.

CLAA’s next event will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Day Hall Takeover, hosting two panels with alumni who participated in this consequential event. It will be held on November 17 from 4:00-6:00pm ET, with the option to attend in-person on the Ithaca Campus or via Zoom. You will have the opportunity to engage with our student community at that time.

DATE: Saturday, October 21, 2023
TIME: 11:00 a.m. ET
LOCATION: Latino Living Center (Anna Comstock Hall), 520 Thurston Ave, Ithaca, NY 14853

¡Nos vemos en el LLC!

CLAA is pleased to invite you to a social with LLC students and fellow alumni. Come get updates from Calie Santana Arts ‘98, CLAA President, Juan Costilla, Associate Dean of Students & Inaugural Director of Latinx Student Empowerment, and Adriana Lima, Residence Hall Director of LLC.

We will have a chance to socialize and an open Q&A. See how students describe their Cornell experience and bring your alumni perspective to discuss top of mind questions. We will serve light lunch from Pizza Aroma, coffee, juice and some pastries.

Even though this event is taking place during TCAM weekend, you do not need to be a TCAM participant or Cornell Council member to attend. All are welcome.
