The Cornell Club of Maryland is thrilled to bring you 2025’s first installment of our book club, Big Red Bookcase, on 2/24/2025 at 7pm.

We will continue to meet virtually each quarter and spend a weeknight discussing a novel written by one of Cornell’s very own alumni or faculty.

Next, Big Red Bookcase will talk through “Vamp Until Ready” by James Magruder, ’82. Readers travel back to Ithaca, reminded of venues such as the Hangar Theater, as they get to know a network of protagonists who are transformed by their involvement with local theater.

James, our fellow Cornellian, will join us on our call as we discuss his novel, “Vamp Until Ready”!

CCMD members as well as friends and family are invited to participate in the meeting — even if there hasn’t been time to finish reading the novel!
