Michèle Belot, Professor, Cornell University

Michèle Belot is the Frances Perkins Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Professor of Economics at Cornell University and co-director of the Labor Dynamics Institute. She has expertise in behavioral economics and labor economics. Professor Belot and her team are developing digital recommendation tools to help job seekers identify suitable job matches. Some of her studies target people in occupations affected by automation and AI. She is also teaching a class on the impact of new technologies on the labor market. She is currently co-editor of the Cornell-based journal Industrial and Labor Relations Review, and she is also the former President of the European Association of Labour Economists.
