CAU? What’s that?

Cornell’s Adult University (CAU) is a premier summer learning program that brings together alumni, family members, and friends for an immersive residential experience on Cornell’s campus. Participants enjoy engaging courses taught by distinguished faculty, enriching activities, and opportunities to connect with the Cornell community. As a student staff member, you’ll work alongside CAU professionals to help create a memorable experience for guests while developing valuable professional skills.

Program Dates:

July 11-23 2027 (with many roles beginning earlier for training and preparation work).

What do CAU student and temporary staff do?

CAU staff play an important role in supporting the success of the summer program. Team members assist with program operations, guest services, event support, logistics, and other activities that help ensure participants have an exceptional experience throughout their time on campus. Staff work closely with CAU administrators, faculty, alumni, family members, and guests while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality, event management, customer service, and program coordination.
