Sustainability on campus

Cornell accepts only plastics #1, #2, and #5 in our recycling.  It’s important not to contaminate recycling, so when in doubt – throw it out!  Here’s a great overview of our recycling policies. Cornell alone throws away over 1 million cups per year.  Help us reduce our waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle to events such as Fun in the Sun. Visit our sustainability page for more information on how you can help promote a culture of sustainability while on campus.
