The Class of 2015 finally celebrates their first Reunion
Casey Phlegar Brown '15, Courtney Koelbel '15, and Mikey Hinsta '15 have been Reunion co-chairs for 10 years, but 2025 marked the first year they were able to actually host a Reunion on campus for their class.
"We're thrilled to finally be back on campus. We're just so excited to see each other after having such a tumultuous planning period during COVID," Casey said.
The last time Casey was on campus with her co-chairs was for a Reunion kick-off weekend in 2019 for the 2020 Reunion that never materialized.
"It was definitely tough in 2020 when we had to cut our planning process short and miss our fifth Reunion," Mikey said. "But we had some great ideas that we carried over to the next round of Reunion."
"I know we've got great turnout for our 10 year Reunion, with a lot of people having missed our fifth Reunion wanting to come back to campus. It's been a really special Reunion to plan," Mikey continued.
Another holdover from their fifth Reunion was their class banner. The Reunion chairs finally received their Class of 2015 banner in this year's Passing it Forward ceremony from the Class of 1950, the first of many events over the weekend uniting classes from many different decades.
As a first-timer celebrating Reunion with her class, Casey was most looking forward to the tent parties.
"My favorite part about those is it feels like a big wedding: the intergenerational dancing, and just celebrating! We're all here because we love Cornell and have that in common."
