The Cornell Society for the Humanities is hosting a community read of “The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫɁ People in the Cayuga Lake Region” by Kurt Jordan, associate professor of anthropology. The book traces the history of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫɁ—also known as the Cayuga, a mispronunciation of the name by white settlers.
