Join the Cornell Club of Greater Philadelphia for a guided tour of the Wharton Esherick Museum, in Malvern. Esherick was a prolific artist and leader of the Studio Furniture Movement. The centerpiece of the museum is his highly individual, hand-built studio. Built over a period of 40 years, beginning in 1926, it incorporates elements of Arts & Crafts, Expressionism, and organic forms, and was named a National Historic Landmark for Architecture in 1993. After touring the museum in small groups, led by docents, we have the option to gather for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

The Wharton Esherick Museum requests that visitors wear only low-heeled shoes, to protect the building’s floors. Food and drink are not permitted inside the museum. Due to the historic, hand-built nature of the museum, parts of the building are not accessible to visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
