A cappella performance by one of best ever groups in the genre. The Sherwoods gained national and international fame from 1958–1973 performing original compositions with rich 6-8-part harmony they pioneered to the a cappella genre. They toured extensively in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Bermuda, Caribbean, and the Far East, in addition to two tours with the USO. They released 7 albums during their undergraduate years and more recently produced 2 re-mastered compilation CDs entitled Try to Remember – The Reunion Album and Old Friends. Noted singer/songwriter Harry Chapin sang with the Sherwoods for several years. The 3 PM performance will be followed by light refreshments at a reception to meet The Sherwoods.
