International Location: Hong Kong

Join us for our first Penn x Cornell Clubs of HK afternoon hike on Tung Lung Chau, the “East Dragon Island”!

It will be a 45-min ferry ride east of HK Island and south of the peninsula of Clear Water Bay. This is a family friendly hike where we plan to do a leisurely hike to different scenic points on the island, including Hong Kong’s largest and most ancient rock carving. Friends and family of all ages are welcome. The route itself is approximately 3.5 km and should take approximately 2 hrs to complete.

We will meet at the Sai Wan Ho MTR station (gather outside the paid area/turnstile close to Exit A) at 11:30 am on May 21st and walk over to the pier for the 12 pm ferry (please be on time as we will walk over to the pier no later than 11:45am). Return ferry is 4 pm on Tung Lung Chau and arrives back in Sai Wan Ho pier around 4:45 pm. The ferry costs HKD 55 each way or HKD 110 round-trip. Each person pays for their own ticket on the ferry. We will stop for a quick local lunch after we arrive on Tung Lung Chau so please bring some cash for your meal or feel free to pack your own lunch/snack. It is recommended that you bring a water bottle, wear sneakers and outdoor/workout attire to be comfortable. There is rain in the forecast for Sunday and if it is severe, we will send out an email this Friday on how we will proceed.

Please RSVP with your name and phone number. For any questions, please email Kathleen Ting at kathleen.ting28@gmail.com, or Thi Quach at thi.quach@gmail.com for Cornell alumni.
