The 11th annual TEDxToronto conference will take place on October 26th, at the Evergreen Brick Works. This year’s theme is “Rise”, and curators have assembled a diverse group of speakers who will be speaking to the rising forces – both optimistic and ominous – shaping our world today.  The speakers are a cross-section of the diversity of the GTHA – with eight of twelve women.  They range from the owner of one of Toronto’s most iconic South Asian restaurants, to the former Commissioner of the CFL, and from a journalist studying invasive species, to a leading expert in using AI to create ‘deep-fakes’

TEDxToronto has extended a 10% discount to the Cornell Club of Toronto for tickets this year’s capstone event with promo code Cornell10.

When: Saturday, October 26, 2019

About
TEDxToronto is a volunteer run, non-profit, and our mission is to help spread important ideas across the GTHA, and the world.  We follow in TED’s mission of “ideas worth spreading”, and believe passionately in the power of ideas to shape individual and collective learning, and growth.  Each year, we showcase leading thinkers, doers and innovators from across the GTHA to an audience of 1,000 delegates – with our videos going on to great reach over the TED platform.
