Location: Toronto, ON

The Cornell University Chorus is coming back to Toronto! Join the Chorus for the first stop on their 2019 Canadian tour at St. George on Yonge Anglican Church. Each year, the Chorus embarks on a domestic or international tour, and this year they are excited to be touring Ontario and Quebec. Take this opportunity and enjoy some music from alma mater!

The Cornell University Chorus is Cornell’s premier student-run, treble voice ensemble. Founded in 1920, the group comprises fifty-four students drawn from every college and many academic majors. The Chorus performs a repertoire spanning eight centuries and over a dozen languages, ranging from masses and motets to spirituals, folksong, world music, jazz, and a variety of other classical and contemporary pieces. Since 2003, the Chorus has made a special point of commissioning new works from women composers, with the goal of expanding the contemporary repertoire for treble voices.

We are looking for homestays for the Cornell Chorus singers for Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30. If you might be able and willing to host two or more of these amazing university women please also email Nina Coutinho at ncoutinho@gmail.com. They are wonderful fellow singers and low-maintenance guests (couches or even floor space would be welcome. They travel with sleeping bags).

Where: Saint George on Yonge Anglican, 5350 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2N 5R5
