 Medicine in the Talmud

Join us as we explore the surprising connection between Talmudic studies and ancient medical remedies. The Talmud, a rich compilation of Jewish laws and narratives, contains numerous natural remedies for various ailments from toothaches to heart conditions. Together, we’ll explore this historical context, discuss the efficacy of these ancient therapies, and their relevance to modern medicine. Professor Mokhtarian’s talk will draw from his latest book, “Medicine in the Talmud: Natural and Supernatural Therapies between Magic and Science.”
