Gerald
Beasley, vice provost and chief librarian at the University of Alberta
in Edmonton, Canada, was named the new Carl A. Kroch University
Librarian in May 2017.   He will be on campus the beginning of
September.  At the University of Alberta, he was responsible for eight
public service libraries on three campuses as well as the University
Archives, Press, Bookstores, Museums and Collection Services, Copyright
Office and Technology Training Center.  We are excited to welcome him to
the Cornell University Library and to Cornell.  We hope you will be
able to join us.
