 Jonathan Kuai ILR ’03 (Moderator)

General Counsel & Managing Director – ESG & Business Affairs

Mr. Kuai oversees multiple global functions including legal, business affairs, compliance, privacy, corporate responsibility/ESG, and corporate philanthropy. Mr. Kuai is also a member of the Company executive corporate leadership team and the global operating committee. He is an active sponsor for the Company’s diversity and inclusion, college recruitment and internal development programs.

Previously, Mr. Kuai served as the Company’s Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Kuai was an attorney with Morrison and Foerster LLP, a global law firm.

As a thought leader and recognized innovator, Mr. Kuai has been recognized by the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Daily Journal, Corporate Secretary Magazine, Corporate Governance Annual Awards, the Los Angeles Business Journal, M&A Advisor and other groups.  He was also recognized as one of the world’s Top 50 Corporate Counsel.

Mr. Kuai received his B.S. in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University and his juris doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles.  He also is a member of the board of trustees of Camp Ronald MacDonald for Good Times’, a program of Ronald McDonald House Charites of Southern California and the Chair of Board of Directors for the Korn Ferry Charitable Foundation.

 Alison Harrigan HOTEL ’10

Head of Hospitality, Travel & Leisure Practice, Executive Search, Senior Client Partner

Alison has a track record recruiting for Board Directors, C-Suite executives, and other senior level roles across the lodging, cruise, casino/gaming, club, wellness, and travel technology sectors.

Additionally, Alison has worked extensively in the real estate sector on senior level investment/acquisitions, asset management, and commercial finance focused searches with both public and private companies in the residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.

Alison provides coverage for her clients to access Korn Ferry’s talent advisory and talent acquisition offerings. These capabilities include executive coaching, compensation advisory, leadership assessment, succession planning, board services, and rewards & benefits.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Alison worked in hospitality and residential real estate with Ritz-Carlton Residential Division and IMI Resort Holdings, an international luxury residential sales & marketing firm.

She was previously the President of the Cornell Alumni Club of Northern California and is currently a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. Additionally, she is an active member of the Cornell Hotel Society, Urban Land Institute, and the Junior League of San Francisco. 

Ms. Harrigan earned a Bachelor of Science from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.

 George Atkinson CALS ’90

Human Resources Practice, Executive Search, Senior Client Partner

Over the course of his career in executive search, Mr. Atkinson has worked with Fortune 500 corporations as well as early-stage high growth companies. While he has served publicly traded organizations, he has extensive experience and knowledge of the nuances involved in recruiting for privately held and private equity-backed ventures.

A member of Korn Ferry’s Human Resources Center of Expertise since its inception in 1998, Mr. Atkinson focuses 100% of his time on the recruitment of senior-level generalists and functional leaders in compensation and benefits, talent management and organizational development across a variety of service and manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 1996, Mr. Atkinson served as a Territory Manager for Baxter Healthcare. He also worked in marketing for Wilson Sporting Goods, as well as in strategic planning with Sears Roebuck & Company.

Mr. Atkinson holds a Master of Management degree from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. He is an active board member of the Springboard Foundation, which supports small, underfunded and grass-roots after-school programs in Chicago’s most impoverished neighborhoods. He and his family live on the north side of Chicago.

 Travis Parsons MBA ’05

Chief Financial Officer, Board and Global Technology & Consumer Practices, Senior Client Partner

Travis specialized in Chief Financial Officer and senior-level financial executive and board searches, as well as head of strategy and business and corporate development positions. He was also part of the firm’s Digital and Private Equity practices and has an extensive background with leading companies from the worlds of technology, media, telecommunications, and finance.

Prior to this, Travis spent several years at another global executive search firm, where he advised clients across the technology industry, with an emphasis on software, digital, and media and entertainment. 

Travis led corporate development efforts at cloud-based video delivery and streaming service, Sezmi Corporation, where he gained experience with over-the-top content delivery and media consumption while developing and managing global partnerships and government relations.

Prior to that, Travis held key roles within major investment banks, including Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group.

Travis holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Denison University and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

 H. Ashley Chi ENG ’05

Legal Center of Expertise, Executive and Professional Search, Managing Consultant

Ms. Chi specializes in partnering with corporate clients in recruiting legal executives in public and private companies, and attorneys and business professionals at law firms across U.S. and Canada. She has led searches for general counsels, deputy general counsels, associate general counsels, senior counsels and corporate counsels at companies of all sizes. She has also led mandates for attorneys and business professionals at boutique and global law firms. Ms. Chi is a relationship-driven search partner with a commitment to improving representation in legal leadership. Whether she is supporting candidates and coaching them on advancing their careers, or supporting clients to capture and retain strong talent, she is always thinking about the right fit for everyone involved.

Recently, she received certifications for Korn Ferry’s Leadership Solution and Leadership Architect Solutions.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Chi practiced as a patent litigator for 10 years at several top global law firms in both New York and Chicago. Given her technical background, her practice focused on pharmaceutical and medical device matters. She also spent time as an in-house attorney tasked with building and monetizing the company’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio with an emphasis on AI and machine learning.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Chi served as a management consultant for a New York City-based consulting firm founded by ex-McKinsey partners with expertise in process and efficiency improvement and outsourcing projects supporting financial services clients.

Ms. Chi is a native Mandarin speaker. She brings with her perspectives as an immigrant, first-generation attorney and a naturalized citizen of both Canada and the US.

Professionally, Ms. Chi is an active member of the National Association for Women Lawyers (NAWL), Chiefs of IP (ChIPs) and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).

Ms. Chi holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering with a Minor in Engineering Management from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor for Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. She was admitted to the New York and Illinois bars in 2012.
