Our Cornellian entrepreneurs will share their journeys starting women’s healthcare businesses, and how, through their companies and technologies, they’re addressing women’s unique needs and solving our most pressing health challenges. Andrea Ippolito ’06, MENG ’07, CEO & Founder, SimpliFed
Andrea Ippolito (@andreakippolito) serves as the CEO and Founder of SimpliFed (@simplifedbaby). Prior to starting SimpliFed, she served as a faculty member in the College of Engineering at Cornell and also served as the Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Innovators Network within the VA Center for Innovation. Previously, she served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow based out of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and General Services Administration. Andrea was the Co-Founder of an innovative application that improves access to care called Smart Scheduling (acquired by athenahealth in 2016). Ms. Ippolito completed her MS in Engineering & Management at MIT and engineering degrees at Cornell.
Eve McDavid, Cornell Tech Runway Post-doc Fall ’22 Cohort, CEO, Mission-Driven Tech
Eve McDavid is the CEO & Co-Founder of Mission-Driven Tech and a Stage IIB Cervical Cancer survivor. She is a former Google executive who uses her expertise in tech, business & media to fight for change in women’s health. She is a passionate advocate for women’s healthcare access, literacy and equity and has been named an expert in survivorship and innovation by the World Health Organization.

J’Vanay Santos, MBA is a dynamic serial entrepreneur and visionary leader with a deep commitment to social impact. She brings a unique blend of passion and purpose to her role as the CEO and co-founder of MyLÚA Health, where she leads an interdisciplinary team in revolutionizing maternal care through innovative digital solutions.
Drawing from her extensive background in community organizing and business development, J’Vanay is dedicated to addressing the systemic inequities that persist in healthcare. Her mission is to ensure that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to high-quality maternal care.

Carolyn Witte ’12, CEO & Co-Founder, Tia
Carolyn Witte (@CarolynWitte) is the Co-Founder & CEO of Tia (@Ask_Tia) — the next-gen women’s healthcare platform creating a new standard of care for women. Frustrated by a broken healthcare system that fractures women’s health by “body part” and reproductive episode, Carolyn founded Tia with the aim of creating a new model of care that treats the whole woman, across life stages via hybrid virtual and in-person clinics. In her role as CEO, Carolyn has helped build Tia’s loved and trusted brand, human-centered patient experience, and prestigious partnerships with leading health systems across the country. She proudly leads Tia’s all female Board of Directors and leadership team — setting a new standard for women’s health and women in business.
