This premiere screening will be for the members and guests of the Cornell Club of Cape Cod on the lawn at Addison Art Gallery. In the Light of Hopper is a documentary short produced by ArtsLight Director Johnny Bergmann to showcase how Edward Hopper influenced artists on the Cape to create their own interpretations of the beautiful Cape Cod landscape. Interviewing artists over several disciplines, this documentary explores the various ways that the work of Hopper inspired artists to create.

The showing will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and several of the artists and/or historians featured in the documentary. It will be accompanied by an exhibition of work inspired by Edward Hopper and/or the places he painted on Cape Cod, and by a gallery exhibit of new works by the featured artists. Addison Art Gallery will provide beverages to all guests. The screening and Q&A will be held outdoors.
