Creating a Healthy Home Office with Emeritus Professor Alan Hedge, Design + Environmental Analysis

Professor Hedge’s webinar will provide us with advice on the ergonomics principles, research-based do’s & don’t’s of lighting, and improving the comfort and health of the surrounding space of where you’re sitting while working from home. Included in his presentation will be ideas and resources for ergonomic items you may wish to buy or how you can adapt what you have so you can work more comfortably and effectively. #onlyinhumanecology

Professor Hedge’s expertise focuses on issues of design and workplace ergonomics as these affect the health, comfort and productivity of workers and includes, workstation design, computer ergonomics and alternative keyboard and input system designs, the performance and health effects of postural strain, and the health and comfort impacts of various environmental stressors, such as the effects of indoor air quality effects and the effects of lighting on eyestrain problems.  He is extensively cited in the national and international media and has appeared on multiple TV and radio programs, indeed the current President of the International Ergonomics Association recently said “he is perhaps the most often cited ergonomist in the media”.
