How To Succeed in College And Beyond: The Art of Learning

Professor Daniel Schwarz, Frederic J. Whiton Professor of English Literature and Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow at Cornell University will speak about how to prepare for and get the most out of four years of college. Professor Schwarz has taught at Cornell since 1968. He will be joined on a panel with Cornell students discussing topics including the college admissions process, course selection, how to negotiate freshman year,  the benefits of an arts and humanities degree, the pros and cons of the Greek system, how to best parent college students, how to balance the joy of learning with the practicality of learning in terms of preparing for the post-college future, including strategies for the job search and graduate school preparation.
