Oregon has one of 19 Lions Club eyeglass recycling centers in the world. Glasses are collected from around the state (around 100k each year) and a local foundation, the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation, stores the glasses in a warehouse. These glasses are sorted and then those that can be reused on sight mission trips are cleaned, calibrated and packaged up by the ladies in the paraoptometric program at Coffee Creek Correctional. This event is an eye glass sorting party and all ages are welcome to attend.
