Ever wonder what makes a Rothko with a few lines of paint or a half shredded Banksy worth millions of dollars? Join us for a curator led art tour and contemporary art talk with Russell LaMontagne at SOWA.

In this talk our generous host Mr. Russell LaMontagne will provide a brief overview into the legal and financial environment of the contemporary art market and touch upon the rapidly changing technologies through which art is traded. Mr. LaMontagne is an art industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. He founded LaMontagne gallery in 2007 and serves as its curator. Prior to this he was cofounder of the LFL gallery in New York City.

After our tour of the LaMontagne gallery, we will be lead through brief tours of the Steven Zevitas gallery, the Abigail Ogilvy gallery and LaiSun Keene gallery. During and after the tours members will be given an opportunity to ask questions. This amazing event provides participants a platform to gain some specialized knowledge, skill and artistic judgement. Light cheese and wine will be provided during the event.
