1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT

Join CUGALA, Cornell’s LGBT Alumni Association, as we honor those who created the foundation of Cornell’s LGBT movement back in 1968. For this year’s Steven W. Siegel ’68 Award Celebration we are pleased to specifically honor Janis Kelly ’71 and Robert (Bob) Roth ’71 who were instrumental in forming Cornell’s chapter of the Student Homophile League (SHL), only the second-ever such LGBT organization at the time. Please join us on Zoom Sunday, May 16 at 1pm EDT for our virtual edition of our annual gala event. We may not yet be back in person, but you can expect over an hour of celebration, reflection, and community with those in our Big Red Family. In addition to the program honoring Janis and Bob, CUGALA will be holding a silent auction to raise funds for Cornell missions near and dear to our hearts: Loving House (Cornell’s LGBT Student Program House), Cornell’s LGBT Resource Center, and The Human Sexuality Collection (a one of its kind reference collection in the Rare and Manuscript Library). All are invited to join us for this spectacular event!
