The Cornell Club of Western Washington is thrilled to announce that the Cornell Glee Club and Chorus will be touring in the Pacific Northwest this coming January, including a concert stop at Town Hall Seattle on January 10, 2020.

The Cornell University Chorus and Glee Club will give a performance at Town Hall Seattle as part of their joint concert tour to the Pacific Northwest.  The choirs will explore the theme of Generations, as reflected in renaissance motets, folksongs, world music, and contemporary compositions. Tour repertoire includes several noted composers and arrangers from the Pacific Northwest, including Karen Thomas, Sydney Guillaume, Keith Hamel, and Stephen Hatfield, settings of poetry by Toni Morrison and James Agee, and west coast premieres of commissions by Ted Hearne and Hanne Baeverfjord. The concert will conclude as usual with traditional Cornell songs.

Tickets are available online here!

We will be having a reception afterwards in the same space where we will indulge in some more Cornell nostalgia and hopefully get to meet many of you!

Bringing 100 singers to the west coast is an expensive undertaking, and ticket sales typically cover only 10% of our budget. If you would like to help sponsor the concert, please visit this site or send a check via mail to Cornell University PO Box 37334 Boone, IA 50037-0334 with the memo “2020 PNW Tour A80-8707.”

Thank you in advance for your support!
