The group will discuss Anil Ananthaswamy’s new book The Man Who Wasn’t There: Investigations into the Strange New Science of the Self.

He doesn’t claim to solve the hard problem of how the brain makes us conscious but he has helped refine the questions we should be asking. He gives us a fascinating glimpse into how parts of the self must all fall into place to make us who we are.

The Milwaukee Book Discussion Group meets quarterly and focuses on books dealing with Emerging Trends and Critical Issues.
