Event Details

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

You’ve already marked Sunday, August 12 on your calendar to help send off our new and returning students to Ithaca. Now, here are the details!

Ross and Aida Rougelot, parents of an incoming freshman, have graciously offered to host the sendoff at their home, which boasts a fabulous outdoor space. This week’s warm temperatures are expected to fall by a few degrees by Sunday, so with a high of “only” 90, the late afternoon should provide a pleasant atmosphere for some Big Red revelry.

Again, all members of our Cornell community—new and returning students, alumni and family—are all welcome! The Rougelot back yard offers play space for the little ones as well, so don’t be shy about bringing them along.

What to bring? We’ll provide food and beverages, so please don’t feel obligated to bring anything—but if you’re the type who can’t come empty-handed, get in touch with me and let me know what you’re thinking. Otherwise, just bring along your Cornell spirit!

The Rougelot home is in the Salt Lake Avenues at 1203 4th Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. We’ll get started around 6:00 PM (a little later than originally anticipated but the weather should be more enjoyable).

Once again, if you think you and/or your family are likely to attend, please drop Jeremy Rosenberger a line via e-mail (jlr4@cornell.edu) or text (801.819.5919)—this will help ensure that we supply enough food and drink. We hope that you’ll join us in wishing our Ithaca-bound students well. See you there!
