Join the Cornell Club of Toronto on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 1-4 pm for Cornell Cares Day. Cornell Cares Day is a worldwide student-alumni service event that connects Cornellians to serve their local community through direct, hands-on service projects. For Toronto’s Cornell’s Cares Day we have the opportunity to spend the afternoon at the Red Door shelter, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Our Cornell community will spend the afternoon playing games and crafting with the families at the shelter. Please only sign up if you can attend the entire event as the shelter depends on volunteers to stay the entire time for the benefit of the families.
We hope this special and rewarding day will be bring us together as a Cornell community, and allow us to give back to our city of Toronto. Feel free to reach out to Yasmin Alameddine ’16 for questions (yaa6@cornell.edu)
