Changing Workplace-Changing Workforce

Professor Pamela Tolbert will inform and challenge us with a topic affecting so many of our Alumni and families, whether new to the workplace, in mid-career or looking back at the changes we’ve experienced in our careers over time.

Professor Tolbert is the Lois S. Gray Professor of ILR and Social Sciences, and professor of the Department of Organizational Behavior. She concurrently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies in the School. She came to the ILR School in 1983 after receiving her PhD in sociology from UCLA. She is broadly interested in processes of organizational change, culture and entrepreneurship, and organizational practices and social inequality.  Her current research includes work on cross-cultural differences in entrepreneurial attitudes, growth strategies of art museums, and the impact of relative spousal earnings on career and family satisfaction.

Steve Bernstein, ILR ’87 and Christine Howard welcome us to their Tampa home for this afternoon which will include a Reception, Presentation, and Conversation. Street address will be provided in registration confirmation e-mail.
