Dr. Allan Hamilton

The Brain in Love—The Neuroscience of Life’s Most Powerful Emotion

Allan Hamilton is a Harvard-trained brain surgeon, celebrated Speaker and an acclaimed and award-winning writer.  He has been called “one of the great intellects of the 21st century.”  His peers have elected him “One of the Best Doctors in America for eighteen consecutive years.”  His prolific writing includes three books: Lessons From A Life With Horses, Zen Mind, Zen Horse and The Scalpel and the Soul. The books have won numerous awards, including the Nautilus Gold Award for works of spiritual non-ï¬ction that “change the world one book at a time.”  Dr. Hamilton has been a long-time script consultant for film and television, including Grey’s Anatomy, lending story ideas and ensuring the medical accuracy of dialog, action and set design.

In his talk, Allan will address what neuroscience tells us about humans’ most powerful emotion – love. He will share insights from latest research that is discovering how and why we, as human beings, crave, live, die, and kill for love. He is a visionary in emerging technologies and shares lessons from research in a relatable, accessible, and humorous manner.

When you RSVP, please tell us if you would prefer the “Vegetarian/Vegan” selection. Since this is a plated-luncheon, the main course for the attendees (including rolls, salad, dessert and coffee or tea) will be the “Chef’s Choice.”
