Since the mid-1970s, the average global temperature has increased about 1.7 degrees F.  In response to this rapid warming, much is changing on our planet with dire results.

Dr. Root was a lead author of the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change 4th Assessment Report co-awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with Vice President Al Gore.
