December All Ivy Happy Hour and Toy Drive

The Cornell Club cordially invites you to the Toast to Ivy & Friends Toy Drive and Holiday Mixer to benefit Promises2Kids (San Diego Foster Youth) and the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots.

Anthony Grillo, Class of 1988, has graciously volunteered to host our Toast To Ivy & Friends Holiday Mixer and Toy Drive at his local Miramar based distillery, Malahat.

Tony may have been a mechanical engineering major but he is now living out his passion project as a San Diego start up distillery co-owner/founder.

Malahat is named for a lumber schooner known during the days of Prohibition as the “Queen of Rum Row.” The venue is decorated with artifacts from the Maritime Museum of San Diego and evokes a speakeasy decor to commemorate the days of Prohibition.

The venue will be closed to the public to give our alumni the opportunity to celebrate and toast the holidays with Malahat’s own small batch handcrafted spirits.

Tacos el Rorro will be catering the event onsite with a menu including 3 freshly made tacos (1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 veggie), quesadilla, chips and guacamole, salsa and sides. Vegetarians will be able to sub out for veggie tacos. Tacos el Rorro is also serving their pineapple agua fresca beverage which should pair nicely with the Malahat rum.

Please bring an unwrapped toy for collection. We look forward to celebrating the holidays with our Ivy & Friends alumni, while giving back to our local San Diego foster youth. Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing all of you for a fun evening at a unique venue!
