Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County
Lucy Joyce, Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County, highlights the many educational programs offered by Extension staff and hundreds of volunteers. CCE-Orange is known for its innovative, science-based educational programs that incorporate the research of Cornell and other land-grant universities. Learn about its new Education Center and 4-H Park in addition to popular community programs focusing on a variety of disciplines including agriculture, farm food safety, food preservation, and gleaning for food pantries; family programs in parenting and care-giving; training in nutrition, worksite wellness, financial management, and home gardening; and positive 4-H youth development programs that feature animal science, school sciences and even a 4-H forestry training weekend for youth.
