Following up on the successful 2017 Cornell Cares Day event, the Cornell Club of Pittsburgh is again teaming with Propel Charter Schools to provide volunteer assistance with “Under the Tent and Around the World,” a program presented by Propel Afterschool and City of Asylum. The program itself will invite families to join under the tent for food, art, music, cooking demonstrations, and more, all with an international flavor. It is anticipated that our Club’s volunteers will assist with set-up and registration, as well as provide help at various stations and demonstrations.
City of Asylum creates a thriving community for writers, readers, and neighbors. They offer a broad range of literary programs in a variety of community settings to encourage cross-cultural exchange.
Propel Afterschool serves more than 700 youths at 11 sites across Allegheny County. The programs contain strong art, literature, and science components.
