The Cornell Club of Pittsburgh is partnering with Propel Schools for Cornell Cares Day 2017 on January 7! Propel is a non-profit charter organization who serves 3,600 high poverty students with 10 locations in Allegheny County (and a waiting list of 3,700 students who can’t be served due to limited resources).
Propel will host the Cornell Club for a volunteer day to assist in various activities, most likely at their Northside location, 1805 Buena Vista Street. The activities could include assembling bags of healthy treats for their students, hosting a book donation, and sprucing up their classrooms. The volunteer activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until 12:00 noon.
Propel is also seeking online donations to help fund the 3,700 students on Propel’s waiting list, so please consider making a donation in addition to potentially volunteering on January 7.
