The Cornell Club of Mid-America joins with our colleagues at the University of Virginia Club of Kansas City.

We will explore the life, student days and literature of Edgar Allan Poe through a discussion of several of his famous short stories and poems. Poe attended the University of Virginia for two semesters in 1826. He left his mark on the UVA through his academic accomplishments, exuberant gambling and enthusiastic engagement in extracurricular activities. He is widely read in English at Cornell.
