The best part of the evening is that all proceeds benefit a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization – Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County. Girls on the Run provides an after-school curriculum for girls 3rd-8th grade throughout Los Angeles County that teaches them about the importance of self-confidence, positive thinking, and healthy living through running-based activities. At the end of the season, the girls showcase their training by completing the Girls on the Run 5K Race. In the Fall 2016 season, Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County served over 900 girls with more than 70% of the girls receiving financial aid to participate in the program.
