Talk and Private Tour of the Hollyhock House

Join author/lecturer Kim Bixler ’91 and master storyteller Timothy Totten for a half-day symposium on Frank Lloyd Wright (lectures, photographs and videos), capped off by a private tour of Wright’s Hollyhock House.

Kim’s family owned Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1908 Edward E. Boynton House in Rochester, NY from 1977 to 1994.   Kim published her latest book, Growing Up in a Frank Lloyd Wright House, and she can be seen in the PBS documentary Frank Lloyd Wright’s Boynton House: The Next Hundred Years.

Kim will recount the tumultuous history of the house through an engaging multi-media presentation of family photographs, historical documents and personal anecdotes.

Timothy Totten has studied the life and work of Frank Lloyd Wright for over 25 years, visiting more than 100 Wright-designed buildings across the United States.  Totten resides in Florida and has brought his energetic storytelling style to packed rooms at museums, theaters and Wright-designed venues throughout the United States.  (Full day, public Frank Lloyd Wright symposium will be October 29, 2016, in case you miss this exclusive event.)
