Join fellow Cornellians at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl for our annual picnic dinner and concert under the stars!

For the 14th year in a row, CCLA invites you to join other Cornellians under the stars at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl for a picnic dinner (food and beverage provided) and fabulous music!

About This Performance:
The Hollywood Bowl becomes an enchanted world of magic beans, towering giants, and handsome princes as the setting for our annual fully staged musical – the darkly humorous and hauntingly beautiful masterpiece by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, Into the Woods. As the Baker and his Wife travel through the forest trying to reverse a witch’s curse, they come across Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and other famous storybook characters all in search of their own wishes…but “happily ever after” turns into a tale of “be careful what you wish for” when granted wishes have unexpected effects. This is Sondheim at his finest, with such memorable songs as Children Will Listen and No One Is Alone.

Date: Sunday, July 28, 2019

Time: 5:30-7 p.m. picnic dinner; concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Location: Hollywood Bowl – 2301 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood.
CCLA has reserved private Picnic Area #13, located across from the Bowl just south of Lot D. Click here to view an area map of the Hollywood Bowl. Seats this year are in section M1.

Parking: On site parking available (starting at $22 per car). Click here for information on getting to The Bowl, noting that shuttle or park and ride services may not arrive in time for the CCLA picnic.

Cost:
•$60 per person for CCLA members ($120 for a CCLA member + one guest); $70 per person for non-members and additional guests
•$50 for children ages 2-12 (children under 2 are free, if sitting on an adult’s lap)
•Price includes a catered picnic dinner (food and wine provided) plus your ticket to the concert.

Ticketing and Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after Friday, July 19, 2019 unless we are able to resell your tickets.  Concert tickets will be handed out IN PERSON at the picnic. If you do not arrive at Picnic Area 13 by 7 p.m., your tickets will be held under your name at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office (will call) from 7:30 p.m. onward.
