Event Details

Join us for our second Cornell x Penn Clubs of HK afternoon hike. This is a heritage trail that commemorates the Battle / Defense of Hong Kong during World War 2. We will be visiting a number of wartime relics and defense works on Wong Nai Chung Gap, including an anti-aircraft gun platform, two pillboxes, and a bunker complex. The family-friendly route (appropriate for all ages & welcomed) is approximately 2.5 km and should take approximately 2 hrs to complete at a leisurely pace.

We will meet at the trail start on Tai Tam Reservoir Road on the opposite side of Hong Kong Parkview at 3pm on November 19th. We will finish the trail between 5-5:30pm on Wong Nai Chung Gap Road. There will not be stores to pick up refreshment on this trail. It is recommended that you bring 2 water bottles, wear sneakers and outdoor/workout attire to be comfortable.
