Congratulations and welcome to the Cornell University Class of 2022; join your peers and Cornell alumni as we celebrate the beginning of your college journey!

Please register early to allow our host to plan refreshments accordingly.

Each summer, clubs and associations around the world host student send-offs to celebrate the newest class and send them off to Ithaca with their support and good wishes. Join us for a send-off event in Coral Gables! These events are an ideal opportunity for you to meet classmates, alumni, family and friends to celebrate your first year of college. This is also an opportunity for parents to speak with each other. Don’t miss out on this longstanding Cornell University tradition and memorable start to your Big Red experience!

What is a send-off?
A student send-off is an informal event for Cornell first-year and transfer students and an opportunity for local Cornellians to welcome the new students into their local Cornell community. These events take place around the world during the weeks leading up to new student orientation. These send-offs are a chance for new students to meet each other before heading to campus.

Who is invited to attend?
Admitted students and parents are invited to attend as our honored guests. Current students and alumni are also invited to attend.

Where will the event take place?
The home of Adam Shapiro ’82 and Pamela Berkowsky, parents of Benjamin Shapiro ’22, in Coral Gables, Florida 33143. The exact address will be provided upon registration.
