We live in a society that is obsessed with food, weight and body image. The message is all or nothing; indulge to excess or deprive yourself totally. *For over twenty years, Lori Osachy has been tirelessly working to free the world from eating disorders and body hatred. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her Master’s degree in social services from Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research. She has become a nationally recognized authority in her field and has more than 20 years of experience in clinical counseling, research and teaching.
Lori is a regular contributor to print news, radio and television, most recently having been featured on National Public Radio’s Science Friday series. Although she entered Cornell as a political science major, her volunteer work as a peer crisis counselor (she eventually became acting director of the program!) illuminated her true purpose in the world – to help and support others to find their true purpose and be free of suffering, especially from the devastating effects of dieting and eating problems.
