Book Club selection for June

The Book Club meeting on June 14 will be hosted by Matt Nagowski. Matt has chosen Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The book is fairly short, but very thought provoking. Multiple copies, in different formats, are available in the Erie County library system.

Please let Celinda Crego know if you would like to join and/or host an upcoming meeting. Celinda can be reached at cac432@aol.com.

TITLE and AUTHOR: Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
“It is written as a letter to the author’s teenaged son about the feelings, symbolism, and realities associated with being black in the United States. Coates recapitulates the American history of violence against black people and the incommensurate policing of black youth. A common theme is his fear of bodily harm. Coates draws from an abridged, autobiographical account of his youth in Baltimore.” (from Wikipedia)
