Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo – It’s Happening Right Now: Contemporary Art in Buffalo
In past tours we’ve visited the larger art institutions of our wonderful Buffalo art scene – now let’s consider the vibrant local scene! Join Cornellian Nancy Spector for a gallery conversation about the last of seven installments of the Amid/in WNY exhibition at Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center. Hallwalls staff are busy making studio visits now to choose artists for this exhibition, so what we will see will be a surprise and insight into what local artists are working on up to the minute. Afterwards lunch with us if you like at Cafe 59, 62 Allen Street, Buffalo, NY. It’s a half mile walk if it’s nice out, or we can travel by car.
When: Saturday, March 19th
Time: 11 am – 1:30 pm (including lunch)
Cost: Free, although we do suggest a donation during your visit to assist Hallwalls in their mission of providing a center for contemporary art in Buffalo. Also please note: Lunch is pay your own way should you choose to attend.
Location: Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center
