Max Gill & Grill has hosted Colorado Cornellians for Zinck’s Night before, making it a fitting home for one of Cornell’s longest-running alumni traditions. 

This is a no-host event. Food and beverages are purchased individually, and Max Gill & Grill will extend happy-hour pricing on food and drinks throughout the evening.

Zinck’s Night traces its history to Theodore Zinck, an Ithaca saloon owner whose establishment became a favorite gathering place for Cornell students and alumni in the late 1800s. His name was immortalized in “Give My Regards to Davy” and its famous reference to returning to Theodore Zinck’s. Cornellians were forming Zinck Clubs as early as 1892, while the modern Spirit of Zinck’s tradition began with Cornell seniors in 1973 and later grew into a worldwide alumni celebration held each October.
More than a century later, the idea remains the same: bring Cornellians together, reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and celebrate the Big Red community.
