Join together with Cornell alumni, parents and students in a day of service as we set up and serve lunch to visitors at the Ronald McDonald house of Chicago. Have a great time networking, interacting and helping our community.

We will meet at noon at the Ronald McDonald house at 211 East Grand Avenue in Chicago and serve lunch to guests of the house at 12:30. After lunch, we will clean up and take a tour of the house.

Limited to 20 volunteers.

About this Ronald McDonald house:

Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s opened its doors on June 26, 2012, at 211 East Grand Avenue in the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago. It is the largest of five Ronald McDonald Houses in the Chicagoland area. The House supports the needs of families whose children are receiving treatment at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

The house offers families of hospitalized children 15-stories of care & comfort including 66 guest rooms, a rooftop healing garden, and a kitchen filled with home-cooked meals provided by generous volunteers and supportive conversation.
