The Chorus, under the direction of Robert Isaacs, is an ensemble comprised of about fifty women from a variety of backgrounds and has a repertoire spanning eight centuries and ten languages, including masses, motets, spirituals, folk, and a variety of other classical and contemporary pieces. Embarking on their Spring 2017 Atlantic Coast Tour, the Chorus looks forward to performing for a variety of music centered around the simple theme of “Up.” Featuring pieces from composers such as Christine Donkin and R Murray Schafer as well as two newly commissioned pieces from Mia Makaroff, the Chorus looks forward to spreading to their music to Cornellians and the general public alike.
